As well as filming locally in North West England, Richard Greenwood also made several trips to other parts of the country.
In this volume of Steam World Archive we take a look at the Eastern side of Scotland from Aberdeen down to Glasgow, including the A4s on their final fling on the famous Three hour trains. We also take a look at the Alloa and Bathgate areas which included heavy coal traffic.
Locations covered include: Aberdeen, Forfar, Coupar Angus, Alyth Jc, Stanley Jc, Perth station and Shed, Gleneagles, a ride on the Crieff branch, Comrie, Dunblane, Stirling, Cambus, Manor Powis colliery, Alloa, a ride on board a DMU from Rumbling Bridge to Kinross and also from Alloa to Throsk, Dunfermline Lower, Thornton Jc, Bathgate Upper, St Rollox and Motherwell.
