Description
Archive footage of this quality is seldom seen publicly. Over the past 50 years Richard Greenwood, who will be a familiar name to many for his association with the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, documented a huge selection of high quality steam railway action including the North West of England, Scotland, Wales, the North East and also the Southern region.
In this third of Four volumes we continue our look at North West England as initially featured in Steam World Archive Volumes 24 & 25.
We start again in the Rochdale area and follow the Oldham loop line, stopping at Milnrow, New Hey, Shaw, Royton Jc for a look at the Higginshaw Gas Trip, Oldham Mumps and Clegg St Parcels.
Other locations covered, The Middleton Branch, Moses Gate, Manchester Victoria, Red Bank Parcels, Glazebrook and Bickershaw & Abram.
Walkden NCB System including the Kearsley to Linnyshaw Moss line.
