Description

Travel in both directions on the beautiful Windermere branch from the junction with the West Coast main line at Oxenholme to Windermere at the heart of the English Lake District.

This unique journey takes advantage of a two week period in June 2018, when West Coast Railways ran loco hauled trains on the branch, coming to the rescue of the Northern Rail suspended service.

Join us in the cab of 57316 on the 10.40 Oxenholme to Windermere. For our return journey we join the driver of the 11.30 to Oxenholme with West Coast Railways 33029.

Also included are some lineside views highlighting the scenic Windermere branch.

As usual in this series there is no distracting commentary, but all-important locations are captioned.
